NEW ON OUR WALLS

It is always a pleasure to introduce a new painting. The painting pictured above, titled Kid’s play, is the latest by Adriaan de Lange. Those familiar with his work will know that the creation of moody beach scenes like this one is something he is particularly fond of. The dreamy atmosphere, the sense of anticipation and the use of his well developed iconography are all familiar elements used to tell stories of which the story line entirely depends on the viewer.

Another notable release is the latest body of work by Richard Scott. It is titled Hypnotized, and is currently on show at Worldart’s gallery inJohannesburg. The show ends 31 March 2008.
