MADE IN RSA

‘Made in R.S.A.’ is an exhibition by photographer Dale Yudelman.  Well known for his award-winning and serial convention-flouting style, this series carves out a sinister register of handmade knives found at crime scenes or confiscated during police searches.
The works examine the origin of the weapons in relation to external circumstances while cutting to the core of the internal world of individuals who fashion an object with the motive to protect or injure.

By exposing the links between artistic expression and the criminal mind, a social identikit seldom seen by the public is formed.
