THE THINGS WE DO

2015 was a busy year for Worldart. We did a solo exhibition with Kilmany-Jo Liversage at the Hay Hill Gallery in London, a group exhibition about urban contemporary art curated by University of Cape Town lecturer Andrew Lamprecht, three art fairs (Cape Town Art Fair, Joburg Art Fair in Johannesburg and the Moniker Art Fair in London) and nine solo exhibitions at our gallery in Cape Town. The list of artists involved includes Kilmany-Jo Liversage, Khaya Witbooi, Lady Skollie, Gavin Rain, Dion Cupido, Marlise Keith and Claude Chandler.

2016 looks exciting too. At this point we can confirm participation in the 2016 Cape Town Art Fair that will take place at the CTICC (Cape Town International Convention Centre) from 18 – 21 February and THAT ART FAIR that will take place at The Palms Centre in Woodstock from 17 February – 6 March 2016.

We are also introducing new artists whom we feel will appeal to our market and will suit our stable of artists well. Look out for Norman O’Flynn, Marna Hattingh and Haidee Nel. Solo exhibitions confirmed for 2016 are the following:
7 – 28 January: Africa Now
4 – 25 February: Zolile Phetsane
3 – 31 March: Dion Cupido
7 – 28 April: Norman O’Flynn
5 – 26 May: Worldart 10 Year Retrospective
7 – 28 July: Kilmany Jo-Liversage
4 – 25 August: Claude Chandler
6 – 27 October: Marna Hattingh
3 – 24 November: Haidee Nel
1 – 22 December: Kalashnikovv Gallery

We’d like to thank you for your interest and support and wish you a prosperous and healthy 2016. Pictured above: Urbera1215 by Kilmany-Jo Liversage. Acrylic & spray paint on canvas. 180cm X 160cm. 2015.
