Lizette Chirrime shortlisted for prestigious art award

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Lizette Chirrime has been shortlisted for The Norval Sovereign African Art Prize 2025.

This prestigious award supports contemporary artists from Africa by offering them international visibility.

Mozambican born Lizette Chirrime lives between Cape Town and her home town of Inhambane in Mozambique and is one of Africa’s lading fibre artists. After her first solo exhibition at WORLDART in 2018 exhibitions in London, Berlin and more followed. New work will soon be on show with WORLDART at the @investeccapetownartfair.
